This video was made to help those who are new to Embird Studio get started digitizing by learning the tools and various functions which are available. The video is over an hour long. You will start out in Embird Manager where you will learn how to set up Iconizer, and learn some basics in Manager to help you start. After Manager we go into Embird Editor to show you some of the functions there. Then we spend most of the time in Embird Studio and delve into the Digitizing Tools, menus, parameters, node editing. I show you how to use Preferences to set up your hoop and graph along with changing colors and providing different 3D backgrounds for previewing in realistic view. You also learn how to find the various hoops and to set them up vertically or in a horizontal direction.
You will learn some of the principles of digitizing by making a flower design as we go along. I show you how to make columns four different ways and we explore the parameters and various things you can do with the Envelopes in parameters and the Random Broadening features to make a feathered edge. You will also learn how to use the craving tool, fill tools, outline tools. We also explore the Transformation Window to learn easy ways to duplicate and rotate the petals of a flower. We also convert one object to another easily using the tools. You will learn how to change colors of your objects, change the sewing order, make connections to avoid jumps and use the joining and grouping objects functions. I also show you how to divide an object to create 2 different fills. Then we change the angles to play on the light effects for a more realistic effect. We change the Starting and Ending of a fill to make for a flowing sew out with minimal jumps. Then we watch it sew out in the Sewing Simulator and I show you how to set it up to make it function to your advantage and help you determine where the jumps may be located. You will learn the functions that you can get into by right clicking. Also you will learn various changes you can make by using the node edit menu.
This video does not show you everything there is to learn in Studio, but it is a good working start and covers much. After we get done digitizing the design we take it back into Embird Editor where i show you how to rid of more jumps and do some other things which provides for a good sew out of your design. You will learn how to save the design in your sewing machine format so it will be ready to sew.
